The British press is speculating that a Jaguar XF Estate and a Jaguar hatch are both in the plans of the company. The Jaguar XF Estate will come in 2012 and will probably be accompanied by a facelift of the model. The Jaguar XF Estate will have a new front grille, inspired by the XJ. Under the hood of the Jaguar XF Estate will probably sit a 4-cylinder diesel engine that's currently under development that will output somewhere around 200 hp. Rumors say the new engine of the Jaguar XF Estate is based on the 2.2-liter Ford / PSA engine.
As far as the Jaguar hatch goes, it's said to have a bold styling and a lightweight body. The five-door Jaguar hatch will be a sporty model, powered by V6 engines, and will come in 2014. Inside sources say the new Jaguar hatch is called R-D6 and that it will be prices in the 40,000 GBP range.
