Is Mini cooper going into the commercial vehicles market? Over the weekend, Mini revealed their latest van concept, which is called the Clubvan. The world premiere of the MINI Clubvan concept will take place at the 2012 Geneva auto show next month, and from the looks of things, it will probably go into production eventually. If you're in the market for a premium (expensive) compact van, the MINI Clubvan will probably be the car for you.

Obviously, the Clubvan concept is based on the Mini Clubman, which has underwent several modifications. The Clubvan is not the only van developed by Mini. Back in the 1960s, the Morris Mini Van was a 10-cm longer version of the regular model.

The main idea behind the Clubvan is to offer the maximum interior space, in the most compact package possible. The MINI Clubvan features rear split door, a flat floor, and an aluminum partition grille behind the front seats. You'll be able to secure your cargo with the help of six elastic strips. The cargo area of the Clubvan is upholstered with a high-quality anthracite-colored cloth. Mini's new van feature various cabinets and drawers for keeping your tools, and various 12-volt plug sockets.

The MINI Clubvan, even though it has two rear-hinged doors, keeps the rear side door of the original Clubman. The concept features a British Racing Green finish, and polycarbonate rear windows.

We'll have more details regarding the MINI Clubvan Concept at the time of its unveiling.
