MINI revealed today the Cooper T, which is a special model that's able to run on biofuel made from tea leaves. The MINI Cooper T is the world's first vehicle that can run with such a fuel. The MINI Cooper T is going to be sold in various colors, including Chamomile Yellow, Red Bush and the very popular Earl Grey. Mini's official specifications say that the Cooper T has a range of up to 40 miles on a single cup of tea. The MINI Cooper T is equipped with VVT, ABS and DSC and a new special system called DAT or Dunk Avoidance Technology. The DAT system stops peckish owners and opportunistic passersby from inserting biscuits into the MINI T's fuel tank in order to moisten their snacks. Head of Cooper T engineering, Dr. Ivana Kuppa, said, "This particular project has been brewing for years.
Our extensive research has shown that the nation's favorite drink is also an ideal biofuel. We already know good things come in small packages, but with Cooper T customers benefitting from up to 40 miles per cup, we are delighted to have the opportunity to bring this car to market."
The MINI Cooper T goes on sale today, April Fool's Day.
