BMW went ahead and did it. They revealed today the production version of the new Mini van, called simply the Clubvan. The MINI Clubvan is basically a Clubman, which is converted into a van. With two seats and five doors, the MINI Clubvan is the first premium compact delivery van on the market. The MINI Clubvan's price has not been announced yet, but the carmaker says it will put the new van on sale this fall. The new premium van is going to be available in three versions: the 72 kW/98 hp MINI One Clubvan, the 90 kW/122 MINI Cooper Clubvan and the 82 kW/112 hp MINI Cooper D Clubvan. Some of you may be surprised by Mini's decision to produce a van. However, you should know that the Clubvan is not the first one of its kind. Back in the 1960s, Mini was producing the Morris Mini Van.

The MINI Clubvan measures 3,961 mm in length, 1683 mm in width, 1,426 mm in height and has a 2,547 mm wheelbase. Its cargo area is 115 centimeters long and 102 centimeters wide, which offers a loading capacity of 860 liters. The MINI Clubvan's maximum payload is 500 kilograms.

To offer the best possible efficiency, the MINI Clubvan is equipped with Auto Start/Stop, Shift Point Display, and Brake Energy Regeneration. The MINI Cooper D Clubvan is rated with a 3.9 litres/100 km (72.4 mpg imp) combined fuel economy and a 103 g/km CO2 emissions level.

The MINI One Clubvan is rated with 5.5 liters per 100 kilometers (51.4 mpg imp) and 129 g/km of CO2, while the MINI Cooper Clubvan offers 5.5 litres/100 km (51.4 mpg imp) and 129 g/km.

The equipment list of the MINI Clubvan includes xenon headlights, black headlight shells, Adaptive Headlights, Automatic Climate Control, Park Distance Control, automatically dimming interior and exterior mirrors and a trailer hitch.
