MINI Paceman 2013

The new MINI Paceman has been revealed, ahead of its global public debut, which is going to take place at the end of the month in Paris. The Mini Paceman, which was presented in a concept form at the New York auto show last year, is the first Sports Activity Coupe in the premium small and compact vehicle segment. Mini Cooper developed the Paceman for urban areas, looking to offer a versatile and stylish coupe, with two doors and a large tailgate. All we care about is that it offers the go-kart feeling all Minis do. The Paceman is basically the coupe version of the MINI Countryman. It comes with a lowered sports suspension, which means it probably offers better handling, but with a rougher ride. In terms of exterior design, one of the distance elements of the MINI Paceman are its rear light, which, for the first time in a Mini, have a horizontal design.

At the interior, the MINI Paceman comes with two individual rear seats, which are separated by an extension of the center console. This center rail, as Mini calls, it, is basically used for storage.

The MINI Paceman is going to be sold with several engines, including the 1.6-litre petrol (184 hp) in the S version, the 2.0-litre diesel (143 hp) in the SD model. So far, a John Cooper Works version of the Paceman has not been announced. However, there will be an ALL4 all-wheel drive option right from the start. All the specifications of the MINI Paceman are available here.

The MINI Paceman's price list and availability are going to be announced at a later date.
