MINI Roadster Spy Video

The production version of the MINI Roadster was recently spied on the Nurburgring race track while conducting various tests. The MINI Cooper Roadster prototype caught on tape is wearing just a bit of camouflage on the rear side while everything else is completely uncovered. In terms of styling, the production version will keep most of the elements seen on the MINI Roadster concept, revealed in September 2009.

The concept of the MINI Roadster is powered by the 1.6-litre twin-scroll turbocharged engine, which will probably go in the production version too. This means that Mini Cooper's new roadster will have an output of 175 hp and 240 Nm of torque. This is quite a lot for such a small car.

Unlike the Mini Cooper, the roadster will be a two-door two-seat vehicle, with a canvas retractable top. It will measure 3.7 m in length, 1.68 m in width and 1.35 m in height.
