BMW revealed today the MINI Roadster they built for the 20th Life Ball, which took place in Vienna. The 2012 Life Ball MINI Roadster was designed by Franca Sozzani, who is the chief editor of Italian VOGUE. The 2012 Life Ball is charity that helps AIDS LIFE. The Life Ball MINI Roadster was auctioned at the AIDS Solidarity Gala where it fetched 54,000 Euros. The money will be donated for various HIV projects. The Life Ball MINI Roadster features a Deepest Purple matt paintwork, and comes with a floral design, as well as the carmaker's hallmark gold rally stripes. The interior of the Life Ball MINI Roadster continues the floral theme and adds brass-colored styling elements.

Franca Sozzani said "The concept behind the MINI customization is inspired by the beautiful and elegant women who in the past used to wear a scarf draped around their head when driving a convertible. Flowers are a symbol of joy and life. And the Life Ball is always fighting for life and joy."
