One of the first Mini Roadster review videos surfaced the web today, courtesy of the guys at AutoExpress. The Mini Roadster used for their test is the Cooper S, which comes with a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine. The output of the Mini Roadster S is rated at 211 hp at 6,000 rpm and 260 Nm/192 lb-ft at 1,850 – 5,600 rpm. Thanks to on Overboost function, the Mini Roadster S can develop up to 280 Nm/207 lb-ft at 2,000 – 5,100 rpm. With a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) acceleration time of 6.5 seconds, the Mini Roadster S can reach a top speed 147 mph (237 km/h). Mini Cooper rates the new Roadster S with a 38.7 mpg imp (7.3 litres/100 km) fuel consumption and a 169 g/km CO2 emissions level. For the purpose of this review, they used a British version of the Mini Roadster. The model may have slightly different characteristics if bought on other markets.
