A few days ago Maserati was announcing a 'surprise' for the Paris Auto Show and today it reveals it - the Maserati GranTurismo MC Concept - based on the GranTurismo S. The Maserati GranTurismo MC Concept is powered by a 4.7 liter V8 engine developing 330.9 kW (450 hp) and 510 Nm of torque at 4,750 rpm.

The Maserati GranTurismo MC Concept has a 4.2 Kg/KW (<3.1 Kg/HP) power to weight ratio and has a body made from composite material while the windscreen and rear and side windows are made from Lexan.

Visually, the radiator grille of the Maserati GranTurismo MC Concept features two large air intakes and a aerodynamic bottom trim. The car also comes with new front mudguards and a dynamic air inlet and 2 additional air vents.

As a result of aerodynamic testing the Maserati GranTurismo MC Concept features 2 side air vents linked to the side skirts and the car comes with a larger boot spoiler.

The Maserati GranTurismo MC Concept comes with upgraded brake and suspension and features a lighter and stiffer chassis
