The initial information on the future McLaren P13 surfaced the web today, as the new supercar prepares for its debut, which is going to take place at next year's Geneva auto show. The McLaren P13 is developed to be a direct competitor for the Porsche 911. Early speculations say that the McLaren P13 is going to be powered by a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that develops between 450 hp and 500 hp. With this engine, the P13 is expected to accelerate from zero to 60 mph in less than 4 seconds and to have a top speed of just under 300 km/h. The McLaren P13 is going to be smaller and lighter than the MP4-12C, but it is going to be built on a similar carbon fiber composite chassis. McLaren plans to build the P13 in three versions: a coupe, a Spider and a high-performance model to go against the Porsche 911 GT3.
