Mercedes has revealed the Mercedes G-Wagon armored vehicle at the EUROSATORY 2010 event which covers various army technology. Called the Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon Light Armored Patrol Vehicle 6.X CONCEPT, the new model is an evolution of the current LAPV 5.4 which improves on agility, protection and payload capacity. The weight of the Mercedes G-Wagon LAPV 6.X CONCEPT armored vehicle has been reduced in comparison to the current model without reducing the car's protection.

The Mercedes G-Wagon is powered by a diesel engine that can take it to a top speed of 150 km/h while the car is carrying a payload of 1.3 tons.

The Mercedes G-Wagon armored vehicle has monocoque full steel body with a modular armor plate system which allows damaged plates to be replaced. The Mercedes G-Wagon armored vehicle is also fitted with variable lift front and rear coil-over air shock absorbers which can be adjusted from inside the car while it is moving. the car has a 450mm ground clearance and a hydraulic braking system and four ventilated disc brakes.

The Mercedes G-Wagon armored vehicle has bee fitted with various military equipment thanks to a



collaboration between Daimler and EADS.
