Mercedes revealed today the special G500 Edition Select, which is based on the long-wheelbase station wagon version of the G Class. The G500 Edition Select is powered by a powerful 5.5-litre V8 petrol engine that sends 388 hp and 530 Nm of torque to all four wheels via a 7G-TRONIC 7-speed automatic gearbox.
The Edition Select version of the Mercedes G500 will be available in four different colors, designo mystic white, palladium silver metallic, thulite red metallic and obsidian black metallic, and will feature several visual updates. Mercedes gave the G500 Edition Select a set of AMG side flaps, black-painted 18-inch light-alloy wheels in a 5-twin-spoke design, carbon-fiber look inserts, an underguard and an AMG sports exhaustsystem.
At the interior, Merc's Edition Select package for the G500 includes two-tone upholstery in porcelain/black designo leather, ambient lighting, and various chrome accents.
The equipment list of the Mercedes G500 Edition Select includes illuminated stainless steel door sills, crash-responsive NECK-PRO luxury head restraints and a Harman Kardon Logic7 surround sound system together with a 10-channel DSP amplifier (450 watts) and 12 speakers.
Mercedes prices the G500 Edition Select package at 6735.40 EUR. This figure does not include the cost of the actual car.
