The Nissan LEAF electric car has been unveiled this week claiming to be the world's first of its kind designed to be affordable and to comply with real world requirements. The Nissan LEAF is powered by a 80 kW and 280 Nm of torque electric motor juiced by a laminated lithium-ion battery that can keep it going for 160 km / 100 miles. The top speed of the Nissan LEAF over 140km/h (over 90mph).
The company says the Nissan LEAF will benefit from affordable pricing and the Advanced intelligent transportation (IT) system.
The main goal when designing the Nissan LEAF was to get real-world car that offers comfort, spaciousness and cargo capacity.
