Nissan Leaf And Renault ZE Commercials

 »  »  »

Nissan and Renault formed an alliance quite some time ago, in order to share technology and various means of production. Recently, they also started to share commercial campaign ideas, maybe to cut costs on the advertising side. Nissan recently launched a TV spot for the Leaf, called Gas Powered Everything. The main idea of the advert is that humans have already switched to electricity for various everyday objects, such as hair dryers and microwave ovens. Why not make the switch when it comes to cars?

Renault uses the same idea for their 'The Electric Life' campaign which advertises the French manufacturer's electric range.

Even though the two commercials are pretty

clever, to say the least, it's a bit odd and confusing that both car manufacturers chose to sell their products in the same way.
