Nissan revealed over the weekend the world's fastest electric racing car, which is called the ZEOD RC. The Nissan ZEOD RC is expected to compete in the LM P1 class of the 2014 Le Mans 24 Hour race. Nissan says that the ZEOD RC Le Mans racer is powered by the same lithium battery technology as the one used in the Leaf. They also claim that the electric prototype is able to reach a top speed of more than 300 km/h. The Nissan ZEOD RC is going to race at Le Mans under the ACO's "Garage 56" entry. Nissan says that the new technical developments achieved through the ZEOD RC racer are going to be put to use in their future road going models. Unfortunately, Nissan did not disclose any real technical details about the ZEOD RC racer, nor its driver for the 2014 Le Mans 24 Hour race.

We're going to have more technical specifications regarding the ZEOD RC race car as soon as Nissan makes them available.
