We bet most of you didn’t have a clue that there has ever been a Nissan GT-R rally car. Well, there has been, back in 1971. The 1971 Nissan Skyline 2000 (KPGC10) GT-R you see in this image is believed to be the only one in existence in Europe. If you want to take a closer look at it, it will be on display at this year's Goodwood Revival.
This Nissan GT-R rally car was used as a race car and track day car in Japan until 1985 after which it was stored for almost 20 years. In 2006, a British enthusiast acquired it, and brought it to the UK. This 1971 Nissan Skyline 2000 (KPGC10) GT-R underwent a serious restoration program and today it looks ready to race again.
The Nissan GT-R rally car will be joined at the 2010 Goodwood Revival by a 1971 Datsun 240Z Works Rally Car built by Oppama in Japan. Oppama is the brands Asian competition department.
