The Nissan GT-R BSB safety car which will be involved in the British Superbike Championship has been unveiled yesterday. The Nissan GT-R BSB safety car will service the bike racing series throughout the 2010 and 2011 seasons. Apart from the two Nissan GT-R BSB safety cars, the fleet of Nissans involved with the British Superbike Championship will include 10 other vehicles comprising of six different models.

The Nissan GT-R BSB safety car is a standard model, powered by the 3.8-liter engine that can take it up to a maximum speed of 190mph.

The two Nissan GT-R BSB safety cars will be joined by Two Qashqai+2 medical cars, a 3.7 V6 370Z and a 3.5 Murano will act as course cars for the Race Director and NV200 and Interstar models.

The MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship (BSB) has chosen the UK's largest car producer, Nissan for the coveted status of its official vehicle supplier.

The agreement between BSB series commercial rights holder MSVR and Nissan Motor GB covers the 2010 and 2011 seasons and will see a fleet of twelve vehicles comprising seven different models deployed



in various demanding roles.

Two 3.8 Nissan GTRs, each capable of 190mph will act as safety cars, ready to be dispatched to control a field of 200bhp Superbikes and to chase the first racing lap.

Two Qashqai+2 medical cars will provide fast medical intervention.

A 3.7 V6 370Z and a 3.5 Murano will act as course cars for the Race Director and other track officials whilst the winners will be paraded in a Navara.

Nissan's award-winning LCV fleet will provide trackside and logistics support utilising the International Van of the Year, the NV200 and Interstar models.
