A few days before the official unveiling General Motors has released a new Opel Ampera teaser. The company says the Opel Ampera will be the first electrically powered automobile in Europe suitable for everyday driving.
The five-door, four-seat hatchback Opel Ampera will have a range of around 60 km on a single charge. The Opel Ampera will store electricity in a 16-kWh, lithium-ion battery.
When the batteries are depleted, the Opel Ampera can extend its range to more than 500 km thanks to an on-board generator.
