Opel Cascada Teased

Opel released today a couple of teaser images for the new Cascada, which is mid-size four-seat convertible. The Opel Cascada is going to be sold as a Vauxhall in the UK, where the carmaker hasn't sold a large convertible since the OE-type 30-98 from the 1920s. This makes the Cascada the first mid-size convertible design and built in-house by the carmaker since World War II. The Opel/Vauxhall Cascada measures 4.7 meters in length, which is 70mm longer than the Audi A5 Convertible. It features a canvas roof that can be operated at speeds of up to 30 mph. So far, this is the only technical detail released by Opel so far. The world debut of the Cascada will take place in the near future, as both brands, Opel and Vauxhall, plan to put it on sale early next year.

The Cascada is Opel's third new model, after the Mokka and the ADAM. The cabrio comes to complete GM's plans for Opel, which now has a new small model and a new crossover.
