As you probably expect, the new Pagani Huayra will also be made available as a roadster. According to various recent reports, Pagani will launch the Huayra Roadster in about three years time. No additional details are available at this point, but we can make a few speculations. Pagani's Huayra Roadster will probably use the same engine as the coupe version. This means it will be powered by a 6.0-liter unit developed by AMG with an output of 700 hp and 1000 Nm of torque.
As in the case of most roadsters, the open-top Huayra will probably be heavier than the regular model. This is caused by the extra strengthening of the chassis and body required by the removed top.
If the power output of the Pagani Huayra Roadster will remain the same as in the coupe, the performance figures will probably drop. The official numbers say the Pagani Huayra is able to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.3 seconds and that it has a top speed of 370 km/h.
On the other hand Pagani may choose to increase the output of the engine in the Huayra Roadster to make up for the extra weight.
