The Pagani Huayra BC was revealed at the end of last week, as a limited edition version of the supercar, which is going to be produced in just 20 units. Apparently, all of them have been sold, and reportedly, Pagani has already received orders for the Huayra BC Roadster. The Pagani Huayra BC's price is set at 2.55M USD, or 2.3M Euros. The Pagani Huayra BC is powered by the same 6.0-liter V12 engine as the standard version, but its horsepower output has been increased to 789 hp and 1,098 Nm of torque. The performance figures (0-62 mph acceleration and top speed) of the Pagani Huayra BC have not been disclosed yet. Apart from the extra power, the Huayra BC is also 132 kg lighter than the standard version of the supercar. To reduce the weight, Pagani made quite a few modifications.
The Huayra BC comes with a new set of Forged APP wheels which are 9 kg lighter, and a titanium exhaust system which weighs 7.1 kg less. The new suspension is also lighter.
Apart from these modifications, the Pagani Huayra BC is built using a new type of carbon fiber which is 50% lighter and 20% stronger. The details of this new type of carbon are a closely guarded secret.
Apart from the roof, all the body panels of the Pagani Huayra BC have been modified to improve its aerodynamic efficiency. The new body was designed in collaboration with Dallara. The Huayra BC is also equipped with a newly developed Xtrac 7-speed automated manual gearbox. This new transmission uses carbon fiber synchronizers and an electro-hydraulic actuation system. The gearbox is 40% lighter and its shifting times has been reduced from 150 ms to 75 ms.
The world debut of the Pagani Huayra BC is going to take place next week at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show.
