Peugeot revealed today the new 208 T16 Pikes Peak Hill climb race car, which is going to be driven this year by world rally champion Sebastien Loeb. Loeb is going to race the 208 T16 Pikes Peak on June 30. Pikes Peak is one of the toughest races around, reaching a maximum altitude of 4,301 meters. Previously, Peugeot won the Pikes Peak hill climb back in 1988 and 1989. Peugeot did not disclose any technical details of the 208 T16 Pikes Peak, but they do mention they've made extensive modifications to the standard vehicle. The aerodynamic changes however, are pretty obvious. In comparison to the standard Peugeot 208, the T16 Pikes Peak comes with a wide body kit, a huge front spoiler, a massive rear wing, new side skirts, a modified bonnet, a roof scoop and a monstrous rear diffuser.

The Peugeot 208 T16 sits on slick racing tires and wheels. Most of the body parts seem to be made from carbon fiber.

At the interior, the Peugeot 208 Pikes Peak comes with a full roll cage, a single carbon bucket seat, an 8-point harness and a lot of racing equipment.

We'll have more details regarding the 208 Pikes Peak as soon as Peugeot makes them available.
