Pink Panther Car On Auction

 »  »  »

Auctioneers Robson Kay announced today that the very rare Pink Panther car will go on auction for the second time, since it was created back in 1969. This one-of-a-kind vehicle, called the Panthermobile, was built for the Pink Panther Show which aired on NBC from 1969 until 1976. The current owner of the Pink Panther car bought it in 2007, at a COYS auction, from its first owner, Mr. Ohrberg, for £88,000 GBP. We guess it will go for a lot more this time around. The Pink Panther car is now restored back to the condition it was 42 years ago, but unfortunately, it's not running at the moment. Another drawback is that the Panthermobile is not street legal.

The Pink Panther car is one of the most famous vehicles ever to play a role in a Hollywood

production. It's part of the same hall of fame as Knight Rider's K.I.T.T, the DeLorean from Back To The Future, General Lee and the Batmobile.

If you want to own this interesting looking pink piece of automotive history, it will be auctioned online on Friday, October 14th, on bidspotter.co.uk.
