Porsche revealed today the all-wheel-drive 911 Carrera 4 GTS in both coupe and cabriolet body styles. The 911 Carrera 4 GTS comes with extra power in comparison to the Carrera 4S, but it manages to keep the fuel consumption at the same level. The Carrera 4 GTS combines the increased power and performance of the Porsche 911 Carrera GTS, which was revealed back in September last year, and the higher level of control offered by an AWD system.

Porsche powers the 911 Carrera 4 GTS with the usual 3.8-litre, 6-cylinder engine, that develops 408 hp (300 kW) at 7,300 rpm and 420 Nm of torque from 4,200 rpm to 5,600 rpm. The AWD 911 GTS outputs 320 Nm from as low as 1,500 rpm. The 911 Carrera 4 GTS is not shy about advertising its

extra horsepowers. Porsche fitted it with a special sports exhaust system for an "an unmistakable acoustic signature".

Let's talk performance numbers. Porsche says the 911 Carrera 4 GTS Coupe, when equipped with the 6-speed manual gearbox, is able to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.6 seconds, while the Cabriolet requires 4.8 seconds to reach the same speed. The PDK version of the 911 Carrera 4 GTS Coupe reduces 0.2 seconds of these figures.

The Carrera 4 GTS is equipped with Porsche's PTM all-wheel-drive system and a standard limited-slip differential with a mechanical rear differential lock.

The Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS has several distinctive visual features. It comes with black 19 inch RS Spyder wheels with central locking, a Sport-Design front apron with black spoiler lip, and new side skirts.

Porsche prices the Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS Coupe from 111,956 EUR. The Cabriolet version will cost you a bit more.

Porsche will put it on sale at 122,071 EUR. Both models will be available in dealerships from July 2011.
