Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo

As we anticipated yesterday, Porsche unveiled today in Paris the new Panamera Sport Turismo. The Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo has a new body concept, which seems to be inspired by the shooting brake. It measures 1,990 mm in width, 1,401 mm in height and 4,950 mm in length. It has short overhangs and a large boot lid. Apparently, with the Sport Turismo, Porsche is looking to make the Panamera a bit more practical, orienting it bit more towards family life and away from the luxury executive saloon it is now. In comparison to the regular Panamera, the Sport Turismo has a new front bumper, LED headlights, and a completely redesigned rear end. It comes with four-point LED rear lights and a new rear apron with a discreet diffuser. The Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo sits on dual color wheels and it features green brake calipers.

The Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo comes with the "e-hybrid" plug-in hybrid technology. This means it's powered by a 3.0-liter V6 engine, which develops 245 kW (333 hp) and an electric motor with an output of 70 kW (95 hp). You'll get a combined peak power of 306 kW (416 hp). The Panamera Sport Turismo is able to accelerate from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 6.0 seconds. Porsche's official specifications say it can offer a combined fuel consumption of less than 3.5 l/100 km and emit less than 82 g/km of CO2. The Sport Turismo Panamera is able to run in pure electric mode at up to 130 km/h and to a maximum range of 30 km. To fully recharge the lithium-ion batteries you'll need 2.5 hours.

The Panamera Sport Turismo runs by default in the electric mode, but this can be deactivated by the driver. In hybrid mode, the driver can activate the e-charge mode, for the obvious reason.

Instead of the classic instrument, Porsche equipped the Panamera Sport Turismo with a TFT color display, which also shows images from outside the car. All the details of the Sport Turismo are available here.
