Initially, Porsche announced that the new Panamera will have its public debut at the Geneva auto Show in March. Things have changed however, and the German manufacturer announced that the Porsche Panamera debut date will be pushed back until the Shanghai auto show that will take place in April.
Porsche motivated their decision with the fact that the Asian and Russian markets have shown an important increase in comparison to the European one. While Porsche's sales have risen on the Chinese market, on its home market they went down by 5.4 %.
Wendelin Wiedeking said the company is maintaining its target to sell 20,000 units of the Porsche Panamera each year, but it will also keep an eye on the actual demand for the new model.
