Range Rover Evoque Convertible Leaked

 »  »  »

The first images of the Range Rover Evoque convertible leaked today, as the new model prepares for its premiere, which will take place at the 2012 Geneva auto show. The convertible version of the Evoque is just a concept at the moment, but Range Rover is expected to put it into production in the near future. The Evoque cabrio will be the world's first premium convertible SUV and it will be based on the 3-door version of the model. Of course, the lack of a solid roof determines some extra reinforcement of the body. Apparently, Range Rover says that the convertible Evoque is a full 75 kg heavier than the regular model, which is quite a lot. Even so, it looks awesome!

The Range Rover Evoque convertible will probably feature the same engine line-up as the hard-top versions.

This means there will be a 2.2-litre turbodiesel engine (190 PS or 150PS) and a 2.0-litre Si4 petrol engine (240 hp).

We'll have more details about Range Rover's convertible Evoque at the time of its premiere.
