In the latest episode of their web-based show, the guys at Fifth Gear review the Renault Twizy concept. The Renault Twizy is an electric two-seater that hopes to launch a new automotive segment. Its power comes from an electric motor good for 15kW and 70Nm of torque. Renault says their Twizy concept is able to keep up with a 125cc motorcycle, which should be enough for urban areas.
The Renault Twizy is 2.30m long and 1.13m wide, has four wheels, and can carry two passengers, along with their groceries. It has a rather tall seating position, which might give its passengers a false sense of security. In fact, such high and narrow vehicles, tend to be a bit unstable in the corners.
Renault is actually planning to put the Twizy into production sometime in the next couple of years. Would you buy one?
