It looks like the PR people at Renault spilled the beans on this one. The Renault R-Space, one of their latest concepts, was spied during a photo session in downtown Lisbon, Portugal. Currently, The French carmaker did not release any details regarding the new Renault R-Space concept, however, its premiere is expected to take place at the Geneva motor show at the beginning of March.
We say concept, but the Renault R-Space you see in this spy video could actually be a production version too. You may notice that the Renault R-Space posing nice for the camera is actually moving on its own power. This could indicate that it's in fact the production version of the Renault R-Space, or that the prototype here is not far from it.
The Renault R-Space seems to be a four-door compact MPV, that could be based on the same platform as the Megane. So far no details regarding its engine have been released. The production version of the Renault R-Space will probably be offered with the usual range of engines developed by the French car maker.
We'll have more details on the Renault R-Space concept next month, when it will have its global debut. Meanwhile, watch the Renault R-Space spy video shot in Portugal lower down this page.
