Renault announced today that they're going to reveal the Duster Detour concept at the 2013 Johannesburg International Motor Show. According to the French carmaker, the Duster Detour is mix between Mad Max and the Terminator, with a bit of Dakar style. Renault's Duster Detour is probably just a show car meant to advertise the brand and the SUV on the South African market. The Duster Detour is the result of the collaboration between Renault Design Central Europe and an unnamed South African design studio. The Detour Duster features a two-tone exterior finish in Pearl Yellow and Matt Grey. Judging from the image Renault released, the Detour Duster is equipped with LED DRLs, front turn signals and rear lights. The concept sits on a set of bespoke wheels finished in black with an orange accent.
The Detour Duster is also fitted with a new front grille and a modified front bumper.
The Renault Duster was introduced last month on this particular market, and the Detour concept is meant to take the customers’' focus off the fact that this is basically just another budget SUV.
