As you have probably already guessed it, the production version of the Dacia Duster presented earlier today was just an April Fools' Day hoax. The two images presented are computer renderings made based on the concept images released by the company. The technical details presented have been written so they could fit a possible production version of the Dacia Duster.
If you feel disappointed, don't be! It was April 1st today and the auto industry could not pass on the international hoax day. Every major publication and carmaker tried to do something different. Kia went with a wind-powered Soul, Seat with an Ibiza / Wind mill, Hyundai re-invented the Papa Mobil and BMW announced a magnetic tow ray.
The idea for the Duster came from our friends at Automarket who let us in on their April Fools' Day hoax. Looking now at their renderings we must say we'd love to see the Duster get produced in this form.
