Renault revealed today the Twin'Z concept which they developed in collaboration with British designer Ross Lovegrove. The Twin'Z concept is mean to illustrate Renault’s new design strategy, and it's inspired by the Renault 5 and Renault Twingo. The Twin'Z is all-electric car with rear-wheel drive and a rear-mounted motor. It measures 3,627mm in length, 1,705mm in width, 1,506mm in height and it weighs 980kg. The Renault Twin'Z is powered by a 50kW (68hp) synchronous electric motor that's good for 226Nm of torque and four lithium-ion battery packs. Renault says that the Twin'Z is able to get up to a top speed of 81 mph and that it has a maximum range of 100 miles. The Renault Twin'Z has several distinctive design features, such as front and rear doors that are hinged at the front and rear respectively.

This means that the car does not require a central pillar.

Renault equips the Twin'Z Concept with all-LED lights. Apart from the regular headlights and tail lamps, the Twin'Z concept also features an array of other daytime running lights and ambient lighting. The full details of the Renault Twin'Z concept are available here.
