Renault revealed today the EOLAB concept, which is going to have its world debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show on 2 October. The EOLAB represents Renault's attempt at creating an ultra-low fuel consumption vehicle. According to Renault's official specs, the EOLAB is able to offer an incredible fuel economy of 1 liter per 100km (282mpg). Apparently, the EOLAB is packed with 100 production-destined technological innovations, which are going to make their way gradually into road cars before 2020. The Renault EOLAB comes with active aerodynamics that reduce drag by 30 per cent. According to its specifications, the Renault EOLAB is 400 kg lighter than a Clio. It previews a future B-segment car for the next decade.

Renault powers the EOLAB using a Z.E. Hybrid powertrain. This means that the EOLAB has a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder 75hp SCe petrol engine and an electric motor juiced by a 400V, 6.7 kWh battery with a 66km range. The power goes to the wheels via a clutchless 3-gear transmission.

Here are the full specifications and all the details of the Renault EOLAB.
