Renault revealed today at the 2013 Frankfurt motor show the Initiale Paris concept, which previews the future generation of the Espace MPV. The Renault Initiale Paris measures 4.85 m in length, and it promises to combine the vitality of a sedan with the space and comfort offered by an MPV. Renault's Initiale Paris concept comes with 20-inch wheels, a rear quarter light that integrates motorized aerodynamic screens, and rear-hinged doors. One of the most striking design elements of the Renault Paris concept is its roof, which is made from aluminum and plexiglass. Just as most new concepts, the Renault Paris comes with LED headlights and DRLs. At the interior, the Paris concept armchair seats, light guides that cover the entire cabin, wood and aluminum trim parts, and a center console that seems to float above the cabin floor.

Renault equips the Paris concept with a BOSE sound system featuring 32 speakers, two subwoofers and a digital amplifier. There are also 16 exclusive Personal Surround speakers, 7 bass-reflex enclosures, and two built-in subwoofers.

The Renault Initiale Paris is powered by a dCi 130 engine that develops 400 Nm of torque, which is mated to a 6-speed EDC (Efficient Dual Clutch) automatic gearbox. The Renault Paris concept showcases the French carmaker's attempt at twin-turbo technology and Shift-by-Wire control.
