As expected, Renault released today all the details of the Alpine A110-50 concept, including a huge image gallery and a video. The Renault Alpine A110-50 is built upon a tubular 25CD4S steel chassis, and it's powered by a 3.5-liter 6-cylinder engine with a Magneti-Marelli injection system. Its output is rated at 400 hp at 7,200 rpm and 422 Nm of torque at 6,200 rpm. The Alpine A110-50 has traditional supercar architecture, with a mid-mounted engine and a rear-wheel-drive system. The power is sent to the rear wheels via an F1-style semi-automatic 6-speed sequential transmission, a cerametallic twin-plate clutch and a limited slip diff. The Alpine A110-50 package is completed by an adjustable Sachs suspension system and AP Racing performance brakes (356mm discs at the front and 330mm ones at the rear).

As previously announced, Renault developed the Alpine A110-50 to mark the 50th anniversary of the Alpine Berlinette. The Alpine A110-50's carbon fiber body was designed to be a modern interpretation of the Berlinette's original styling. Underneath, the A110-50 is based on the Megane Trophy as previously rumored. The Renault Alpine A110-50 measures 2,625mm in length and has a 1,680mm track at the front and a 1,690mm one at the rear. These are the exact measurements of the Megane Trophy.

The interior of the Alpine A110-50 is dominated by an uncluttered dashboard, a full racing harness and the Sabelt racing equipment. In fact Renault was helped by several companies during the development of the Alpine A110-50. These include Tork Engineering, Koller and Etud Integral and Protostyle, which carried out the final assembly of the car.

Renault does not mention whether or not the Alpine A110-50 will go into production.
