Tata Pixilated the 2011 Geneva auto show with their new city car concept, which is based on the company's other notorious little model, the Nano. The Tata Pixel city car claims to be the most package-efficient four-seater in the world, and that it can actually carry around four, completely grown, adults. The exact dimensions of the Tata Pixel have not been revealed, so we'll have to take their word on it. What they do say, is that the new Pixel has a turning radius of 2.6 meters.

To power the new Pixel city car concept, Tata chose a 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine and a rear-engine architecture. The engine of the Tata Pixel is designed to have low friction, and features a variable coolant and oil

pump and rapid warm-up technology. Other fuel efficiency oriented features of the Pixel concept include optimized aerodynamic drag, low rolling-resistance tires, stop-start technology and intelligent battery charging.

Tata says that the new Pixel city car is able to offer an up to 3.4 l/100km fuel consumption with a 89g/km CO2 emissions level.

Tata hasn't announced yet when the new Pixel city car will go into production.
