The 1974 Silver Shadow you see in this image is arguably the fastest Rolls Royce in the world. This 1974 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow still resembles the car that left the car maker's Crewe plant 30 years ago, however, under its metal skin, there's a whole different story now. The original engine was replaced by a 588 cubic inch Chevrolet V8 engine, which is able to take it up to a top speed of 175 mph. This Rolls Royce dragster is able to run the quarter mile in a very impressive 7.94 seconds. This is 2 seconds faster than what the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport.

The Rolls Royce dragster was developed by WG Racing and features a Chrome-Moly twin tube chassis, a new suspension system, and huge

brakes. The new components also managed to reduce the overall weight of the car by quite a bit.
