This is the Egger-Lohner electric vehicle, C.2 Phaeton model, also known as the P1, and it the first car designed and built by Ferdinand Porsche. Ferdinand Porsche created the P1 back in 1898, which is 50 years before the first Porsche sportscar (the Type 356) was developed. Porsche managed to recover the original and unrestored P1 after 116 years. Porsche's P1 is an electric vehicle that weighs just 130 kg. It develops 3 hp with a maximum of 5 hp and it can reach a top speed of 35 km/h. It offers a maximum range of 80 km and its speed is regulated by a controller with 12 settings. Porsche used the P1 as a racing car too. In 1899 he entered the P1 into a 40 km long race in Berlin, which was quite difficult. Apparently, more than half of the racers did not manage to finish it.
Porsche's P1 carried three passengers and it finished 18 minutes before anyone else. The P1 also won the efficiency competition.
