Toyota announced its plans to build a new plant in Brazil. Toyota do Brasil has acquired land for the new plant in the city of Sorocaba, in the state of Sao Paulo.
In the new 3.7-million-square-meter manufacturing facility Toyota plans to build a new compact vehicle in 2011 or after. The plant would have a starting annual production capacity of approximately 150,000 vehicles and create jobs for approximately 2,500 people.
