Yesterday we reported that Formula 1 Champion Lewis Hamilton exchanged cars with NASCAR Champion Tony Stewart for a head-to-head race on the Watkins Glen International circuit. Today we have the confirmation that the event was organized by Mobil 1 in the Finger Lakes Region of New York in the United States. During the challenge, Hamilton raced the Stewart's No. 14 Mobil 1/Office Depot Chevrolet Impala, while Tony drove the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes MP4-23 Formula 1 race car.
Unfortunately, Mobil 1 did not disclose who was faster. Instead, they just announced that both drivers "enjoyed a few laps around the long course at The Glen".
The track measures 3.4 miles and has 11 turns. Several unofficial sources are reporting that Hamilton was faster in the Impala, but hasn't been confirmed yet.
