The Gaza Strip is currently under a blockade from the Israeli and Egyptian authorities which makes it impossible to buy a new car there. Palestinians are actually banned from buying a new car, so they have to turn to smuggling when it comes to getting their wheels. As seen in this video, Palestinian car smugglers use various tunnels to get cars into the Gaza Strip. These tunnels are either newly dug, or older tunnels previously used for smuggling guns.
Israel has lifted the ban the import of cars to Gaza, however, this market is still blocked here. apparently, the leading Palestinian factions here, Hamas and Fatah, can't reach and understanding on which of them should control the car market.
As a result of the automotive market conditions there, the Palestinian car smugglers take the cars through tunnels located under the Gaza/Egypt border.
