Porsche has released a new video presenting a recap of the its presence at the 2010 Petit Le Mans 24 Hour race with the new Porsche 911 GT3 R Hybrid. The Porsche 911 GT3 R Hybrid was driven at the 2010 Petit Le Mans by Timo Bernhard/Mike Rockenfeller (both Germany) and Romain Dumas (France) and finished 18th out of 41 competitors. Although it finished 18th, the Porsche 911 GT3 R Hybrid was not eligible for points because the race officials considered it to be too advanced. The company considers the hybrid racer to be more of a laboratory than an actual competition vehicle. It's main purpose is research.
