The world debut of the new generation 2014 Porsche 911 GT3 took place today during the opening of the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. The 2014 model is the fifth generation of the GT3 911, and it's the most powerful naturally-aspirated model built by Porsche at this moment. The new Porsche 911 GT3 (2014) is powered by a 3.8-liter boxer engine that develops 475 hp (125 hp/liter) and 324 lb-ft (438 Nm) of torque. The redline is at 9,000 rpm. Naturally, the engine of the 2014 911 GT3 is mated at the PDK dual-clutch transmission. The engine of the new 911 GT3 (2014) is based on the 6-cylinder powertrain of the Carrera S, which has received a new crankshaft and valve gear, titanium connecting rods and forged pistons. The PDK gearbox has also been modified especially for the 2014 911 GT3.

It features shorter gear ratios with closer spacing, shift paddles with shorter travel and increased tactile feedback.

The 2014 Porsche 911 GT3 accelerates from nought to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.5 seconds, to 60 mph in 3.3 seconds and to 124 mph in less than 12 seconds. Its top speed is rated at 195 mph (315 km/h). Porsche says that the new 911 GT3 (2014) is able to lap the Nurburgring Nordschleife in under 7:30 minutes.

For the first time, the 2014 Porsche 911 GT3 comes with rear wheel steering. The new version of the model is also equipped with an electronically controlled, fully variable rear differential lock and dynamic engine mounts.

Porsche equips the 2014 911 GT3 with 20-inch alloys with center-locking hubs and a large, fixed rear wing. The 2014 911 GT3 is 1.7 inches wider at the rear than the new Carrera S.

The 2014 Porsche 911 GT3's price is set at $130,400 in the USA and at €137,303 in Europe.
