Italian Formula 1 star Giancarlo Fisichella gets to be one of the first drivers to review the new Alfa Romeo 4C. For the purpose of this drive test, Fisichella takes the new Alfa 4C around the Balocco race track. Giancarlo looks pretty impressed with Alfa Romeo's new sports car, but you have to take into account that this short clip is more or less a commercial for the new 4C. When reviewing the Alfa 4C, Fisichella says it has very precise steering, that it handles "fantastically". The Alfa Romeo 4C is price in the UK starting from 45,000 GBP, which is around 6,000 GBP more than a Porsche Cayman. Is the Alfa 4C really that good? According to Giancarlo it is.
Alfa Romeo released yesterday the complete specifications of the new 4C. So, the 4C comes with a 1.7-liter (1742 cc) engine that's able to put out a maximum of 240 hp and 350 nm of torque. In comparison, the Cayman develops 275 hp and 290 Nm of torque. The Alfa 4C has an official 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) acceleration time of 4.5 seconds, while the Cayman can do the same job in 5.7 seconds. It appears that on paper, the 4C does seem to be worth a bit more than a Cayman. In real life however, when handling becomes a factor too, we might get a different opinion on this matter.
