Here's an interesting drag race between two four-door muscle cars, the new Mercedes E63 AMG and the Vauxhall VXR8 GTS. The new 2014 Mercedes E63 AMG hides under its carefully engineered German metal bonnet the 5.5-liter V8 engine, which spits out 557 hp and 720 Nm of torque. According to Merc's official specs, the 2014 E63 can accelerate from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.7 seconds, if equipped with the 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system. The Vauxhall VXR8 GTS is powered by a larger, 6.2-liter V8 engine, that develops 576 hp. The VXR8 GTS needs 4.2 seconds for the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) trip, which is exactly how much the rear-wheel-drive E63 AMG needs for the same task.
