A quarter mile drag race between a high-performance supercar and an electric four-door saloon is not something you see every day. Who would have though that the Tesla Model S stands even a chance against the mighty Dodge Viper SRT10. The Viper SR10 has an 8.4-liter V10 engine that puts out 600 hp and 760 Nm of torque, while the Tesla has an electric motor. However, the acceleration of an electric motor is almost instantaneous. This is how the Model S is able to get from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 3.9 seconds.
