The Tesla Model S price list for the United States market was announced this week, for all four versions of the model. The Model S will be available in four trim levels: base, Performance, Signature and Signature Performance. The base price of the Tesla Model S is set at $49,900 USD for the 40 kWh model, at $59,900 USD for the 60 kWh version and at $69,900 USD for the most 85 kWh model. The Performance version of the four-door Tesla will cost you at least $79,900 USD. This trim level ads $5,000 worth of standard equipment, including a Nappa leather interior, an Active Air Suspension and a sport-tuned Traction Control system.

The Tesla Model S Signature is priced from $87,900 USD, while the top of the range Signature Performance model will set you back $97,900 USD.

Tesla is offering several options for the Model S, including a $1,500 USD panoramic glass roof, and a $3,500 set of performance tires.

There are also several optional packages available. The Tech Package, which ads such items as a navigation system, a back-up camera, Xenon headlights and other luxuries, costs $3,750 USD. The Sound Studio package is priced at $950 USD, and the Active Air Suspension will make you wallet $1,500 lighter.

Two options you might find useful are the 20 kW twin on-board chargers ($1,500 USD), and the high-power wall connector ($1,200 USD).
