VUHL revealed this week the specifications and the full equipment list of their 05 supercar. The VUHL 05's price list starts at 59,995 GBP, and the company says they are already accepting orders for the new supercars. The VUHL 05 is powered by a 2.0-litre, DOHC turbocharged EcoBoost engine developed by Ford. According to the official specifications, this engine develops 285bhp. With a mid engine rear-wheel-drive architecture and a weight of just 695kg, the VUHL 05 is able to accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds. Its top speed is rated at 150 mph. The VUHL 05 has a 400bhp per ton power-to-weight ratio and according to its manufacturer, it is built using 40% British-sourced parts.
The VUHL 05 is built on an aluminum chassis featuring a three-section bonded tub, which includes a chrome-moly steel subframe for the engine and rear suspension, a three-stage forward crash structure and a passenger cell. The standard version of the VUHL 05 comes with a GRP body, but they can also built it using carbon fiber. The new supercar comes with a few special aerodynamic features that include the flat underbody, the front and lateral splitters, the rear diffuser and the rear spoiler.
The equipment list of the VUHL 05 includes a 6-speed manual transmission, high-ratio rack and pinion steering, unequal length double wishbones front and rear, big brakes, Sparco wheels and Michelin tires. At the interior, the VUHL 05 comes with carbon bucket seats, an optional 330mm quick-release suede-covered steering wheel, a data acquisition system, and a built-in HD camera.
