Brooke Press Release:

Brooke Cars are delighted to announce the launch of the 2008 Brooke Double R, at the Autosport International and Pistonheads Shows at The Birmingham NEC on January 11th-13th. Our stand number is 11530.

Brooke Cars enjoyed a very busy and prosperous 2007 as the first batch of production Brooke Double Rs hit the streets of the UK and our first left hand drive cars were exported to Europe.

As the result of two years of research and development, the 2008 Brooke Double R finds itself packed full of both significant improvements and subtle refinements.

The 2008 Brooke Double R features an all new tubular spaceframe chassis made entirely from round

tube. The chassis is manufactured from seamless, CNC laser cut tube ensuring each component is exceptionally accurate, and this enables us to build a chassis which is lighter, stiffer and exceptionally precise. New chassis design and dry sump system has enabled the mounting of the engine and gearbox a staggering 30mm lower in the car, dramatically lowering the centre of gravity resulting in improved handling.

The Autosport and Pistonheads Shows will see the unveiling of the Supercharged Brooke Double R. This model features a custom built Ford Duratec engine, exclusively developed by Noble Motorsport

for Brooke Cars. Our supercharged engine promises to deliver in excess of 300bhp, and enables the car to achieve 0-60mph in less than 3 seconds, thanks to significantly improved torque figures throughout the range. The new engine propels the Brooke Double R to a maximum speed of in excess of 165 mph, and offers a power to weight ratio of 580bhp/tonne. The 2008 car also benefits from an all new stainless steel exhaust system, which is fitted to all models.

Also new for 2008 are two new versions of our composite seating tub both versions allow the driver

to sit 65mm lower in the car lowering the centre of gravity. The first version is designed to offer increased lateral support for the track and road use whilst the second version is designed to accommodate drivers with a larger frame. The new pedalbox fitted to all cars allows the pedals to be moved back a further inch meaning even taller drivers can now be accommodated.

The front and rear suspension have both undergone analysis and developments to include new uprights front and rear whilst we are now using AP Racing to supply the braking package fitted to all but our entry level car.

All cars now come fitted with roll bars as standard which are welded into the chassis,

and also a foam filled fuel tank fitted with rollover valve fitted as standard.

We are looking forward with great excitement to 2008 and offering you the opportunity to test drive surely Great Britain’s most exciting road car that has been designed to thrill both on and off the track.
