BMW announced that it will soon debut the 2009 BMW 735d which will be powered by a new 3.0 liter diesel engine that develops 225 kW/306 hp and 600 Nm of torque at 1500 rpm. The company says the new engine of the 2009 BMW 735d is 4% more efficient than its predecessor.
Apart from announcing the new 2009 BMW 735d the German carmaker also said it will debut a new 3.0 liter Twin Turbo engine in October, powering the new BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo. The new engine develops 225 kW/306 hp and 400 Nm of torque between 1200 and 5000 rpm. The fuel consumption of the new BMW 3.0 liter engine is 9% lower than the one of its predecessor.
BMW also said the new eight-speed automatic transmission will be a standard on the BMW 760L and the BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo.
